Stampin’ Up! Framed Violets Happy Birthday for The Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop! Today, the challenge is a sketch challenge. I used the Framed Violets bundle because the dies were perfect for this sketch.

I started with a piece of Secret Sea cardstock and added Basic White and Violet Dreams DSP mats. For the center oval, I ran Secret Sea and Fresh Freesia through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine using the Softly Woven embossing folder. I then used the scallop oval to cut out the Secret Sea and the other oval to cut out the Fresh Freesia cardstock.

I stamped the flowers with black ink and colored them with Fresh Freesia and Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blends. I die cut them using the die from the Framed Violets dies.

For the sentiment, I stamped Happy Birthday from the Banner Sayings stamp set and punched it using the Three Banner Punch. I also punched a piece of Secret Sea cardstock, cut it in half and adhered it to the back of the sentiment using liquid adhesive.

I adhered the oval frame and the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card I stamped Hip Hip, hooray! from the Balloon Festoon stamp set on a Basic White mat with Secret Sea ink. I stamped the same flower stamp from Framed Violets with black ink and colored them with Fresh Freesia and Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blends.

I added some bling to the front of the card by putting three white Sparkling Dots around the flower.

For the envelope, I stamped and colored the flowers on the front and added a strip of Violet Dreams DSP to the back.
