Stampin’ Up! Radiant Sunflowers Easy Fun Fold Card for The Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop! Today, the challenge is a color challenge. We were given six colors and had to use at least three of the colors. For my card, I chose to use Cajun Craze, Golden Glow and Secret Sea.

If you haven’t purchased the Sunflower Fields DSP, you really need to add it to your list of products to purchase. It is so pretty and great for Fall cards!

I started with a piece of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Cajun Craze cardstock and scored it at 2 1/2″ and 6 1/2″. After folding the cardstock I used my bone folder to make sure the card could stay folded. I added the flowery piece of Sunflower Fields DSP to the top and a piece with a woven design to the bottom of the card.

For the sentiment I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle to cut out a piece of Secret Sea cardstock and used the second largest circle to cut out a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Exciting Times and the small flower from the Radiant Sunflowers stamp set.

I colored the flower using Golden Glow, Old Olive and Secret Sea Stampin’ Blends and added a little shimmer with the Golden Glow Shimmer brush. I adhered the flower using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Secret Sea Radiant Gems.

For the inside of the card I added a strip of Sunflower Fields DSP to the top of a 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Exciting Times stamp set. I did not adhere the cardstock to the inside – I stuck it inside of the pocket that was created by adding a small amount of liquid adhesive to the sides of the folded Cajun Craze base.

The note can come out of the card. There is also room to add a gift card inside of the pocket!

I stamped the same flower on the front of the envelope and colored it with Golden Glow, Old Olive and Secret Sea Stampin’ Blends.

For the back of the envelope, I added a strip of the same flowery Sunflower Fields DSP.
