Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop for the month of May. Today, I am sharing a Father’s Day card that has a waterfall on the inside of the card that includes sentiments for all the love that dad deserves!

I started by looking through the Waterside Retreat DSP. There are so many great scenes that can be used to make quick and easy cards. I decided on the scene at the beach and then after stamping and die cutting all of the pieces for the front of the card, I realized that I needed a portrait card to fit the waterfall attachment on the inside of the card. 🤔 Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! I created a panel from one of the Lakeside Retreat Paper Pumpkin cards that is very similar to the beach scene from the Waterside Retreat DSP.

This is the scene from the Waterside Retreat DSP which works perfectly with a landscape card and a waterfall that pulls to the right. (I had already created my portrait waterfall. 🙄)

The waterfall consists of six flaps that open when you pull down on the bottom piece. There is also an extra piece of Basic White cardstock to write a note and sign your name. It is adhered to a strip of Pecan Pie cardstock and then glued to the Pecan Pie mat on the inside of the card.

I used dimensionals to pop up the grass, bird, chair, book and coffee. Don’t you wish you were sitting in that chair right now?? I sure do!

The card stock cuts and supplies are listed below. If you would like more information on how I created the waterfall, click here and I will send you a link to a video. (Life got in the way and I didn’t get to make a video in time for the hop today.)
