Stampin’ Up! Pop-Up Petals Celebrate Card

Today, I am sharing a card that was inspired by looking at sample layouts. Have you ever sat down to make a card with no idea of what you wanted to make? That’s what happened to me, so I started with the layout. I knew I wanted to use some of my DSP that will be retiring soon, so I cut it into rectangles and started with that.

The base of the card is 4 1/4″ x 11″ Basic Black card stock scored at 5 1/2″. I adhered three 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ strips of Granny Apple Green Brights 6 x 6 DSP to the base of the card. I stamped the sentiment from Banner Sayings with Granny Apple Green ink near the bottom of a 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Basic White card stock and glued it to a piece of 3″ x 4″ Basic Black card stock.

I stamped the vase and flowers using Pop-Up Petals with Berry Burst and Garden Green ink and colored the flowers using Darling Duckling, Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. After die cutting, I used dimensional to attach them to the Basic White mat. It is hard to see from the image, but I also added a touch a shimmer using the new Golden Glow Shimmer Brush that will be available soon.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from Banner Sayings with Granny Apple Green ink and three of the small flowers from the Pop Up Petals stamp set. I colored them using Darling DucklingBerry Burst and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.

I stamped and colored the flowers on the front of the envelope and added a 6″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Granny Apple Green Brights 6 x 6 DSP that I trimmed to the flap of the envelope.

I finished off the card by adding Berry Burst Garden Epoxy Dots to the front of the card.
