Happy Thursday and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop! Today, the challenge is a sketch challenge which is always helpful to me. It gives me a starting point.

I started with a Barely Blush card base. On a Basic White mat I used the Stampin’ Hot Foil System with the Botanical Glow Hot Foil Die and Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil to create a background of gold leaves. I used liquid glue to adhere it to the card base.

While the Stampin’ Hot Foil System was hot, I foiled all three flowers from the Delightful Daisies Hot Foil Dies with gold foil on Barely Blush cardstock and the three different leaves on Peaceful Pine cardstock.

I used my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to die cut all of the foiled flowers and leaves. I also cut out the second largest oval and the largest label die from Sweet Words & Labels Dies. I used Metallics Wow! Gold Embossing Powder to emboss the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Balloon Festoon stamp set.

After arranging the flowers I used liquid glue to attach them to the oval and dimensionals to add the centers and the sentiment. I finished off the front of the card by adding three Gold Adhesive Backed Dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped and embossed the sentiment using Versamark and Metalics Wow! Gold Embossing Powder. I stamped the flower in the bottom, left corner with Barely Blush ink. I also stamped the flower on a Post-It note and die cut it so I could use it as a mask for the leaves which I stamped with Peaceful Pine ink. For the center of the flower is used Versamark and Metalics Wow! Gold Embossing Powder.

For the front of the card, I used the Reverse Hot Foil Die and the left over Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil from smallest flower. I foiled it to a small piece of Basic White cardstock and adhered it to the Basic White Medium Envelope with liquid glue.

I used Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil and the Botanical Glow Hot Foil Die for the flap of the envelope. Before adding the envelope to the sandwich, I put a sheet of wax paper under the flap so it didn’t glue shut when running it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Beautiful card Charlene 🙂 Those foiled flowers are just gorgeous and I love how you put the foiled leaves in the background too.
