Happy Thursday and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop! Today, a theme challenge and the theme is Christmas! My card for today features the Stampin’ Hot Foil System.

I can’t believe it is already October! If you haven’t already started making Christmas cards, now is the time! This is the perfect hop to give you inspiration and help you to begin making Christmas cards!

I started with a Basic White card base and used the Swiss Dots Hot Foil die with Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil. I scored the card base and added the dots to the front of the card.

Next I created a mini card using the arched die from the Twinkling Tidings Hot Foil dies. I took a piece of Basic White cardstock, scored it and folded it in half. When placing the arch die on the cardstock, I made sure the left side of the die was not on the cardstock so it wouldn’t cut the fold.

On a piece of Secret Sea Two-Tone cardstock, I hot foiled the tree with the saying that is in the shape of an arch with Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil. I used the same die to foil on Peaceful Pine Two-Tone cardstock and used the tree die to cut out the tree. I used liquid glue to adhere it over the Secret Sea tree. I glued this arch to the Basic White arch.

For the inside of the arch card, I used Versamark and Metalics Wow! gold embossing powder to add stars near the top of the arch. I used a piece of Basic White cardstock to stamp the wider tree using Peaceful Pine ink. I used the die to cut it out. I then used Versamark and Metalics Wow! gold embossing powder to add the gold lights on the tree. I used liquid glue to add this to the base. For the sentiment, I used the Twinkling Tidings Hot Foil dies on Basic White cardstock to create the sentiment. I adhered it underneath the tree. I added the arched card to the top of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the main card base, I added a mat of Peaceful Pine Two-Tone cardstock. On a Basic White card mat I stamped the top of the tree in the bottom, left corner and added the sentiment from the Stitched Stocking stamp set.

I stamped the same tree on the front of the envelope.

I used the left over Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil from the Swiss Dots foiling and used the Reverse Hot Foil die to add it to a 6″ x 2 1/4″ strip of Basic White cardstock for the back of the envelope. For all the measurements and supplies, scroll down.
