Happy Thursday and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop! As I look outside, I see leaves falling and feel a cool breeze coming through my open windows, so I chose to use the Simply Leaves bundle and a combination of fall colors for a thank you card for this month’s theme.

The challenge today is a sketch challenge. Sketches are always so helpful for me when it comes to creating cards.

I started with a Golden Glow card base and cut a Cajun Craze and Sunflower Fields DSP mat to match the sketch. After playing around with the leaves from the Simply Leaves stamp set, I decided I would use some Pecan Pie twine on the left side to add an element to the card. I wrapped it around the DSP using Stampin’ Seal on the back to keep it in place.

I used the same leaf and stamped it with Golden Glow, Old Olive and Cajun Craze ink on the same color cardstock and punched it out with the Simple Leaf Punch. Before adhering the leaves, I used the second and third largest hexagons from the Nested Essentials dies with Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on the Very Vanilla die cut and then adhered it with liquid glue. I used dimensionals to add it to the card. I used a combination of dimensionals and liquid glue to add the leaves.

On the inside, I stamped the leaves using Cajun Craze and Golden Glow ink and stamped the sentiment with Cajun Craze ink.

To finish the front of the card, I added three Golden Glow Radiant Gems. For the envelope, I stamped two leaves in the front, left corner.

And added a strip of Sunflower Fields DSP to the flap of the envelope.
